Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our department, PSI Software & Tools, as part of Power System Integration Module. Our Software & Tools Sub-Module is responsible for building and maintaining our SW toolset. It aims at guiding our digital journey within a broader department called Power System Integration in Vestas' R&D organization. The Software & Tools team is being built to strengthen our SW capabilities by developing SW tools, streamlining workflows and processes, as well as to bring new SW products to life. It has an important role in accelerating our digital power plant solutions. We aim at doing our part in enabling Vestas' reaching its vision of becoming the global leader in sustainable energy solutions through the delivery of high-quality software, while supporting our organization with increased levels of automation, digitalization, and process efficiency. In developing our SW ecosystem, we collaborate with different parts of our organization, from R&D to operations, having a global presence that supports Vestas' worldwide business. Responsibilities
As a Software Developer your main responsibilities will include:

• Maintain and develop our current deliverables, that range from desktop applications, Web APIs to simple scripts that enhance our productivity, quality, and time to market

• Performing software engineering activities and optimizing our tools’ performance and availabilit

• Support and embrace our strategy on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Continuous Integration (CI), Test Automation and DevOps

• Play an active role in our API-journey on decoupling our backend and frontend solutions

• Work with other Software and IT departments across Vestas

• Help define software development best practices and democratize them across our broader department

  
  

Qualifications

• B.Sc or M.Sc. in Software Engineering or Computer Science or similar

• Professional experience within software engineering

• Experience with 1 or more of these areas would be a big plus, but not requirement: Implementing a service-oriented architecture; DevOps; Microsoft Azure; CI using Azure Pipelines

• We work with these technologies: .NET, C#; SQL database; Desktop Application Technology (MVVM pattern on WPF); Web Technology (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Angular); API (ASP.NET Core/Flask); Python Script; GIT; Azure Pipelines; Jenkins and Jira. Experience with any of these technologies will be a big plus
